Was quite pleased to take in the annual convention of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) event held in Toronto last week. Sudbury and most of Northern Ontario, as usual, had strong representation there. It was nice to keep in touch with key players in the mining industry from all across the North. It was interesting to see Premier Doug Ford talk about the importance of Ontario's mining industry and its contribution to Canada's economy, especially at a time when the U.S. is looking at ways to limit the amount of minerals and mining supplies Canada can sell to the U.S.
