I took this photo back in the summer of 2020. I was out after 11 pm hoping to capture comet Neowise near the Big Nickel. Got more than expected with the ISS streaming by and the Big Dipper overhead. The comet is located in front of the Big Nickel.

Got the mid-winter blahs checkout: The City of Greater Sudbury invites residents to a free outdoor family celebration on Snow Day, Saturday, Feb. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. near the Grace Hartman Amphitheatre in Bell Park. Fun for the whole family.

I took this photo of "Young Chitter" flashing a smile to the Soo Thunderbirds' bench last season during the NOJHL Playoffs. Nothing better than getting the last laugh on the ice 😉🏆

Some rivers don't freeze in the winter because of the current. Vermillion River, Whitefish, Ontario.

Macro photography - getting up close and personal with the snow. These flakes are just millimeters in diameter. One shovelful contains millions or even billions of these little ice crystals. This effect can be achieved using a true macro lens or sometimes a telephoto lens a distance. A tripod is always useful to prevent shake and blur.
