My relationship with Google has been a long and enthusiastic one, dating back to their early web search days. But it was the launch of Google Calendar in 2006 that truly cemented my passion for all things Google and Cloud Computing. At my previous company, we struggled with a cumbersome and inconsistent calendar solution. Google Calendar was a revelation, and it sparked a deep dive into the Google ecosystem. Since then, we've embraced everything from Docs and Sheets to Photos and Drive, and most recently, Google Gemini.

We've even shared our enthusiasm by attending numerous Google I/O events in Toronto and hosting our own in Sudbury and Muskoka. You could say we're big fans.

Before real estate, I actually worked with the Google Street View team, where I had the privilege of helping local businesses create 360 virtual tours for Google Maps (example: https://virturl.xyz/44b711).

As a long-time Google enthusiast, I'm particularly excited to share some recent news from the world of quantum computing. To fully appreciate the significance of this development, it's helpful to understand the scale of Google's current computing infrastructure.

Against this backdrop of immense computing power, Google's new Willow quantum chip represents a paradigm shift. It dwarfs even their impressive existing infrastructure, achieving in moments what would take billions of years with classical computing.

This breakthrough feels like we're approaching the realm of the truly extraordinary and maybe even the supernatural, unlocking possibilities we can scarcely imagine. While artificial intelligence is currently dominating headlines, its impact may pale in comparison to the potential of stable and enhanced quantum computing. The revolutionary nature of these advancements is difficult to fully grasp, but one thing is clear: we're on the verge of something truly transformative.
