Good evening, beautiful warriors…

“I really think in life there is a lot of mystery and things we just can’t understand and your brain has to adapt… We all have to deal with the twists of fate whether they are explained or not, and it’s how you react in life to these curveballs that is really the measure of a man.”
~ Larry Fessenden

There’s something about Monday nights that invite quiet reflection. Maybe it’s the exhale after a long day or the gentle whisper that a new week holds new grace. Whatever it is, tonight I’m thinking about curveballs—those moments that knock the breath out of you and leave you wondering, What now?

We’ve all been there.

Sometimes it’s a heartbreak, a diagnosis, a goodbye you didn’t see coming. One moment, life feels sure… and then everything shifts. I’ve had my share of curveballs, and I’ve learned this: they aren’t the end. They’re invitations. Opportunities. Sometimes painful, yes—but also purposeful.

I choose to treat every curveball as a classroom.
A moment to rise, even when it’s hard.
A moment to grow, even when I don’t feel ready.
A moment to teach, even as I’m still learning.

And truthfully?
Writing, photography, art and decorating became my therapy.
They gave my pain somewhere to land. They helped me make beauty from brokenness. They reminded me that even in the mess, there is meaning.

If you’re facing something right now—if life feels heavy or uncertain—please know this: your story isn’t over. The hard part isn’t the whole part. Your current struggle is shaping something strong and sacred inside of you.

You are being stretched, not stranded.
Refined, not rejected.
Prepared, not punished.

Let that truth settle into your soul tonight.

You are teachable. You are capable. You are not alone.
